Get it (v1.0, just 7 Kb)
I'm using PMPOP to handle the external e-mail of all our LAN users in one phone session. This works fine, but the 'press any key' on errors made it impossible to completely automate the process with a batchfile. I was forced to standby in case of errors to limit my phone bill... The '-Quiet' option doesn't help either but this patch should do the trick.
FIXPMPOP will remove the keywait from PDPMPOP.EXE v1.1 (The packet version of PMPOP) and add an errorlevel to the exit procedure when a keywait was supposed to be called. Now you can start PMPOP and be sure it will be terminated on errors and you can test for it in a batchfile.
Since I'm no real hacker and got lots of other things to do, this is not a very nice hack. It simply removes the key test and inserts an alternative exit procedure with selfmodifying (..) code in the free gap. The patched version of PMPOP will not be able to read any keys at all. This will effectively disable the '-C' configure option, so you'd better make a backup copy of PMPOP to use when you want to change the configuration.
PMPOP and PMAIL can be obtained from ftp.let.rug.nl
