Greetings from Edinburgh. This letter is to let you know what The Proclaimers
have been up to the last few months.
We finished touring with the Hit the Highway album just before Christmas and although the touring had been really enjoyable, it was good to get home and see our families. Since we got home our main concern has been to get down to writing the next album. We've got a few ideas for songs already and after these start to take shape, we'll think about studios, producers etc.
Apart from that, we've also done a little more work on movie soundtrack songs. The Jim Carey/Jeff Daniels movie Dumb and Dumber has our version of Get Ready the old Motown song on it. Also, we recorded a version of Bye Bye Love for the soundtrack of the movie of the same name. Even better for us, Over and Done With from our first album will feature in a new movie Bottle Rocket with James Caan starring.
On a personal level, my wife Carole is expecting another baby in September. So one way or another it's going to be a busy year again.
I hope life is treating you well and I'll write again over the next few months to let you know how things are progressing with us.
